Blakemore Wholesale Distribution has won a two-year contract to supply the House of Lords.
The contract will see the family-owned wholesaler supply a range of bottled beers, spirits, fortified wines, soft drinks and mineral waters to the bars and restaurants within the House of Lords. The contract is worth £150,000 per annum to the business.
Blakemore Wholesale Distribution sales director Tony Bromwich commented: “Blakemore Wholesale Distribution has created a bespoke, flexible service plan to meet the needs of the House of Lords, which also delivers great value.
“We are committed to providing bespoke delivered wholesale solutions in a way that our larger competitors are often unable to match.”
The wholesaler has also recently unveiled ambitious plans to more than double the size of its operation as part of its 2020 strategy. The business will utilise the scale, infrastructure and expertise of the wider Blakemore Group to achieve a significant expansion of both its customer and supplier base. It aims to win more business across multiple channels including retail, catering, hospitality, wholesale and vending in addition to launching a new export side to its operation.
Blakemore Wholesale Distribution already services national contracts for a number of high-profile accounts such as BP and Roadchef, and has also recently started supplying the NHS in England.
