AF Blakemore is to run its graduate scheme again this year, following its successful launch in 2016.
The two-year programme aims to develop future leaders for the company and will take on five graduates across four areas of the business.
Blakemore community affairs Officer Liz Bell, who is co-ordinating the scheme, said: “Our 2015 Graduate Scheme proved both popular and successful, receiving 362 applications and welcoming eight new graduates into the business as a result of the recruitment process. Therefore the company has decided to run a similar programme again in 2016.
“The Graduate Scheme will provide graduates with a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and skills across a number of diverse areas of the business.
“Our aim is to establish Blakemore as an employer of choice for graduates and we hope that this programme will help to attract, develop and retain the best people.”
The 2016 Graduate Scheme, which is aimed at both recent graduates and those who have already begun employment, will be advertised externally but applications are also welcome from current members of staff as well as family members and friends, Bell said.
There will be five graduate positions available on the programme, covering the areas of sales and marketing, business analysis and project support. Roles will be based in the West Midlands, South East and North of England.
Applicants for the scheme will be invited to participate in a multi-stage recruitment process that will include a group assessment day on May 17. Successful graduates will join the business on June 20.
A comprehensive four-week induction will be organised for all those embarking on the scheme, including spending time in frontline roles, training, and getting involved in the company’s community programme.
Full details on each of the five graduate roles available will be published on the dedicated webpage, afblakemore.ourvacancies.co.uk, on March 11, when the Graduate Scheme will open.
