3663 has donated a second truck to be used in literacy and food programmes in Africa.
The 18 tonne truck has been donated to relief work organisation Reform Corporation and will be loaded with education materials from the UK and distributed to African countries. This aims to help them meet their goal of educating the majority and address the challenge of lack of textbooks and other educational materials.
The truck will then be used to help people transport food in Nigeria. It is temperature controlled so all perishable food will be refrigerated and preserved during transit. This will assist local farmers whose fruit and vegetables can be damaged by the heat from the sun.
Fred Barnes, chief executive of 3663, said: “We saw the work that our first donated truck has done, so it was an easy decision to support Reform Corporation.”
