A large new contract starting in January has already been won by 3663 as a result of the opening of its new purpose-built depot at Paddock Wood in Kent last month.
Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663, said the new contract, and several other new clients had been won because of the new capabilities the £18m development provided.
He said the opening of Paddock Wood marked the completion of phase one of a reconfiguration of the company’s supply chain. Through new build and refurbishments 3663 has developed a nationwide chain of multi-temperature facilities, and closed seven older depots.
Phase two, he said, would involve adding capacity to this network with new depots in South Wales and the Midlands, and the possible closure of nearby sites.
