Plassey Food ups its game with Sanderson tech

Fresh and frozen specialist Plassey Food has awarded its IT system contract to software solutions company Sanderson.

Based in County Limerick, Plassey Food supplies a range of restaurants and hotels in Southern Ireland and has appointed Sanderson to improve efficiencies across the business – streamlining operations and helping the company improve customer service.

Telesales in particular will be able to process a higher volume of orders with a faster automated system, increasing the number of orders processed per day. And with greater visibility of stock and promotions, staff will also be able to recommend alternative products for out of stock items – enhancing service levels and providing opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell.

Plassey Food is also set to use Sanderson’s Business Intelligence solution, which provides reporting tools to measure business performance, and help management make informed decisions.

Don Flynn, managing director of Plassey Food said: “We’ve selected the very latest Sanderson solutions to strengthen our business for future growth and help us provide the best customer service possible. The system tracks best before dates, enabling us to supply top quality stock to our customers, essential for our fresh foods range. Swords will further benefit the company by increasing staff productivity and providing additional sales opportunities through improved access to accurate stock information.”

Martin Beatty, product director for wholesale distribution solutions at Sanderson added: “Plassey Food is a dynamic and forward thinking company and our solutions complement its business strategy. The Swords solution will grow with the business and we look forward to helping the company achieve continued success.”
