Sales channel specialist Jenks has invested pound;350,000 in an IT solution based on Microsoft Dynamics GP and associated technologies. Trinity Computer Services will supply software and services required to implement the new solution.
The system will provide a corporate system, and also the platform for the Jenks Portal.
This is an on-line environment where retailers and principals can manage and monitor their product sales in real-time.
The Jenks Portal is designed to allow retailers and principals to be able to compile instant sales and order analysis; manage promotions; track orders and deliveries and place orders.
The system will enable Jenks to integrate data in different formats from all of its trading partners.
Colin Bendel, IT director of Jenks, said: “We will have a system that is fully integrated and connects our business right across the enterprise. This means we will have far greater access to information than ever before and will be able to deliver it in a timely and consistent fashion to all stakeholders in the business.”
Ambrose McGinn, Jenks joint managing director, said: “This major IT investment is one of the main pillars of our growth strategy. It means that we will be able to provide a deeper insight into the brands we look after and keep pace with the demands of our business environment.”
