Caterforce has promoted Nick Redford to managing director.
Redford joined Caterforce in August 2010 as buying director and has taken over from Allen Watts who is retiring from his position at the end of March.
Redford will now have full responsibility for running Caterforce, and said his priority was helping the Caterforce members accelerate their growth and development of ambient foodservice product ranges, as well as to continue to build on their core frozen and chilled business.
Watts said: “I am delighted that the board has placed their confidence in Nick to lead Caterforce through what will be a challenging but rewarding period in the development of the group.”
Watts will continue to advise the group in a part-time capacity and will be spending more time on his role as chief executive of European Catering Distributors (ECS), an international foodservice buying group with members in 13 countries and membership turnover exceeding curren;5bn.
