Musgrave Retail Partners GB managing director Peter Ridler is leaving the business after little more than a year at the helm, to take on a new role as international director of White Stuff fashion retail chain.

Mark Aylwin, has been appointed by Musgrave to take over the role of MD and will join the business on August 17 for a handover period with Ridler.

Aylwin has been in the food industry for more than 35 years, working in senior positions with a range of organisations including Booker Direct, Blueheath PLC, Safeway PLC and Musgrave Group where he was supply chain and IT director.

Commenting on the announcement, Chris Martin, Musgrave Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to appoint Mark as managing director of our business in Great Britain and welcome him back to Musgrave.  He has a wealth of experience and his food franchising knowledge means that he is ideally placed to develop the Budgens and Londis brands together with our retail partners.”

“I would also like to thank Peter Ridler for his contribution to the business during his tenure with Musgrave Retail Partners GB. Over the past fifteen months, Peter has led the Features > Business, put together a new team and demonstrated a real commitment to the Londis and Budgens brands.  We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
