DCS Europe has brought in foodservice wholesaling expert Michael Lorimer to head up its new DCS Foodservice division.
Lorimer (pictured) is the former managing director of Henderson Foodservice and a previous vice chairman of Landmark Wholesale.
In the newly created role he will develop the DCS Foodservice division to offer a complete range of cleaning and health and beauty products to delivered wholesalers and buying groups in the foodservice sector. DCS Europe was founded by Denys Shortt OBE 20 years ago. It is one of the UK’s leading sales and distribution companies, working, amongst others for Unilever, P amp;G, Colgate, PZ Cussons, L’Oreal, SC Johnson and Osram. Over the past three years DCS has also invested more than £3m in a manufacturing plant producing shampoo, conditioner, skincare and hand wash.
DCS says sales are 31% and expected to hit £185m by year end and it is confident about continuing to deliver growth across the group and to customers and suppliers.
