Makro has appointed a new operations director for the UK.
Patrick Legro has taken the role and a position on the board at Makro UK. His immediate priority is to oversee the company’s future store programme, which will see eight stores revamped this summer, as well as ensuring that the whole store network operation is geared up to supporting the company’s targeted group marketing campaigns, such as Love the Pub and Everyday Takeaway.
Legro was previously operations director at Makro Greece and he has been with Makro’s parent company, Metro Group, for over 10 years.
Hannes Floto, managing director of Makro, said: “This is our third board appointment in a matter of months and signifies how strongly we are investing in the future of Makro UK.
“Patrick is Makro ‘through and through’ and it is this level of experience that will help us achieve our objectives. I’m confident that we now have a strong board and senior management team in place.”
