Jenks, the sales channel and brokerage company, has appointed Des Ewing as sales and marketing director for its new Beers, Wines and Spirits division.
Ewing joined Jenks from Inbev, where he was sales director for the wholesale channel. He previously held senior positions with Whitbread and Interbrew in both the on and off trade, encompassing grocers and wholesale convenience.
Working for Jenks, Ewing’s responsibilities will be to manage and exploit the market growth of beers, wines and spirits which is a new area for Jenks. Ewing said: “There are few markets more dynamic than beers, wines and spirits. This is an exciting opportunity. There are many areas of growth within the market and ongoing mergers and acquisitions mean that brand owners are continually looking for sales and marketing experts to give focus to their brands.”
