Key Lekkerland wholesaler AC Ward Son has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Paul Brendish to the post of chief operating officer.
Brendish has moved from Blockbuster where he was director of supply chain and systems.
AC Ward managing director James Ward said Brendish would use his experience at Blockbuster, and his previous 10-year tenure at retailer Dixons in distribution and supply chain roles, to improve Ward’s efficiency and customer service. The key priority was to enhance stock control management by building stronger partnerships between suppliers and key accounts.
He added: “Our focus is about growing our customers’ Features > Business, and at the same time growing the opportunity for ourselves and our suppliers. This means we need to be working with the right type of business.”
The West Thurrock-based company has also hired Sam Radford as operations manager to manage its fleet. Radford was previously transport manager at logistics giant Tibbett Britten.
