3663 creates site sustainability role

3663 has appointed its first site sustainability champion.

John McNaught is based at the Nottingham depot and this is a new post within 3663 intended to take the sustainability support framework to a new level.

3663 currently has more than 65 voluntary sustainability coordinators, whose duties sit alongside their normal role, but it is discussing rolling this initiative out to other depots.

McNaught will assist employees to reduce their carbon impact and will lead a series of sustainable and environmental activities and initiatives which will result in a greener depot and workforce.

He was previously an HGV driver within 3663 and was promoted to supervisor within transport.

Richard Frost, depot general manager, said: “John is the ideal choice as he has been a member of the team for many years and knows a large proportion of the workforce through his voluntary work within our social club.”
