Strongbow Cider takes FWD Gold Medal

The winner of the 2005 Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) Gold Medal for the Drinks Brand of the Year, presented at the body’s prestigious awards ceremony at the Savoy in November, was Strongbow cider.

The Gold Medal, which is a superb accolade for the Strongbow brand, was presented in recognition of the product that members of the FWD had voted as the best managed drinks brand within the wholesale sector during 2005.

Now accounting for one third of all cider sales, Strongbow – which is the UK’s number one cider brand – has recently benefited from a heavyweight support programme including impactful advertising, new packaging, consumer sampling and value-added promotions, in addition to well-received product innovation such as Strongbow Sirrus.
