Sketching out a strategy for the recession

John Heynen will be talking about the challenges currently facing the independent retailer/cash and carry sector, the areas to focus on in order to best face up to and deal with these issues, and how one might go about implementing such an approach, using examples from his company to demonstrate their impact and effectiveness.

John is sales director of Coors Brewers, the second largest brewer in the UK, and the UK and Ireland division of Molson Coors Brewing Company. He sits on the UK board with responsibility for all national customers across the on and off trade.

John has been with Coors for five years holding various senior roles across sales and supply chain.

Prior to that, he worked for PepsiCo for five years, in both the Walkers and International Beverages divisions, and United Biscuits for four years, after starting his career at Tesco as a graduate trainee.
