Preparing to take aim at a new group of customers

Delegates will be looking forward to the presentation by Makro’s food buying director Allard Sjollema after his entertaining contribution was the highlight of Drinksummit last October.

He says Makro is staging a strong comeback in sales development, thanks to its strategy of focusing on selected customer groups. He will explain how target group management works at Makro, using as an example the ‘Makro Love the Pub’ campaign, and he will announce which customer group Makro will target next.

Allard joined the board of directors of Makro UK as part of the team in charge of turning around the Features > Business, bringing with him cash and carry and retail experience from seven different countries.
