Italian speciality baker San Giorgio has launched a new range of premium pastry products, including three aimed at vegan diners.
Cuor di Sfoglia, is a shell-shaped pastry filled with cream, while Sinfonia di Pere e Cioccolato is a crisp puff pastry filled with pears and dark chocolate nuggets – both of which are described as perfect for breakfast, brunch or a snack. There are also three, 24% butter, pre-risen croissants, one filled with red fruits, one made using cereals and filled with honey and the third with orange jam. All are billed as “for those who love the unmistakable taste of butter, without sacrificing the simplicity and naturalness of flavour”.
The San Giorgio Wellness line is designed to appeal to vegans, lovers of special flours, or even “consumers looking for lightness”. The three products include a certified vegan, curved pre-risen croissant filled with apricot jam, a pre-risen Mini-Fagotto with ancient cereals and red fruits jam and finally a pre-risen Fagotto made using ancient cereals and red fruits jam.
