JJ Food Service has scooped the Big Data & Insights Award at Microsoft’s Convergence 2015 EMEA conference in Barcelona earlier this month.
Part of the Microsoft Visionary Awards program, the accolade recognises “innovative agility” and acting on business insights to create positive experiences for customers.
Chief operating officer at JJ Food Service Mushtaque Ahmed said: “We are delighted to win this award, which recognises our investment into developing a new website and online ordering app, which have created a faster and more personalised shopping experience for our customers.”
JJ’s new website and app, both launched earlier this year, are designed to make suggestions based on previous shopping habits and items commonly purchased together. The result, says the wholesaler, is a faster shopping process and an increase in average basket as customers find more products that are relevant to their businesses.
