Foodservice-specialist JJ Food Service will be helping customers to capitalise on National Chip Week (February 16-22) with a raft of chip and potato-themed promotions.
JJ national account manager Sue Guilfoyle said: “National Chip Week is a fantastic opportunity for pubs, restaurants, chip shops and schools – anyone that sells chips – to get involved in marketing activities that can help to raise the profile of the humble potato while increasing customer engagement and generating more sales.”
Potatoes are an important part of JJ’s Features > Business, which sells everything from raw chipping spuds and jacket or roast potatoes to chips. At the end of 2014, the wholesaler launched a new gluten-free Super Crisp Chip range to help pubs, restaurants and caterers to respond to the growing number of gluten-free diets. And last month, the business launched a Chunky Cut variant, its biggest chip yet, developed specifically for pubs and restaurants.
