Creed Foodservice has appointed a new development chef Rob Owen (pictured) – the former executive chef of Gloucestershire-based Wesley House Ltd, parent company of the two-Rosette restaurant and wine bar The Royal Oak at Gretton, Wesley House in Winchcombe and the Wesley House outside catering brand.
With more than 16 years’ hospitality experience, latterly in Gloucestershire hotels and restaurants, Rob started his career with Raymond Blanc’s Brasserie chain, moving on to The George Hotel and Monty’s Brasserie in Cheltenham where he secured two rosettes.
In 2011 he enjoyed a time running a cookery school kitchen before being appointed chef manager of the Royal Oak at Gretton and establishing it as one of the county’s best destination gastro pubs. He was appointed group executive chef two years later.
As development chef at Creed, Owen’s role will be to work with customers on menu development or product tasting, for example, to help enhance their business. Creed has its own development kitchen based in Gloucester, which is available for customers and suppliers for hands-on sessions.
