Creed Foodservice last week hosted its first-ever annual staff awards dinner attended by more than 60 employees from its Staverton and Ilkeston distribution centres.
The ceremony, which followed the 2014 quarterly recognition awards given out across all Creed business functions, saw Chris Lewis, produce buyer, and Holly Earl, marketing manager, named Employee of the Year and Manager of the Year respectively. Stan Earnshaw, warehouse manager, received the Think Customer award for always putting customers first and demonstrating a model approach to internal customer service.
Guest speaker Nigel Laughton, chief executive of Pentathlon GB, delivered a presentation on his team’s training journey to winning Olympic medals, pointing out the synergies between the athletes’ goals and Creed Foodservice’s mission to be the foodservice provider of choice with team work, discipline, respect and success being key, alongside a quality offer.
Chris Creed, chief executive Creed Foodservice, said: “The directors and I are delighted with this evening’s event – the first of its kind – where staff can share each other’s success. Last year we saw some fantastic achievements and these recognition awards are well deserved. Well done to everyone for their hard work. Creed Foodservice is looking forward to an exciting 2015.”
