Afro-Caribbean food and drinks brand Tropical Sun, owned by Wanis cash and carry based in East London, is sponsoring the Appetite Food Festival – the first of its type to be held in Waltham Forest. Running throughout June, the festival is aimed at food makers of all kinds and food lovers within the borough.
“Waltham Forest has a tremendous sense of community and its ethnically diverse community is reflected in its high streets and food outlets” said Jag Singh, brand manager for Tropical Sun.
“Part of the Tropical Sun brand’s ethos is to support and encourage the joy of cooking whether from home, in a market, at a food fair or in a restaurant. We are an integral part of the landscape of Waltham Forest, being one of the largest employers in the borough, and it is not only fitting, but our privilege to be supporting this celebration of food, art, culture and community.”
