Sugro’s annual conference and trade show culminated in a gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff, where it celebrated its 25th anniversary and announced the winners of its annual awards.
Awards in recognition of service to the Sugro Group were presented to Michael Clark of Andersons (Wholesale) and Sugro UK managing director Philip Jenkins, who have served 11 years and 10 years respectively on the board of directors.
It was a successful night for Cadbury, which won the Sugro Supplier of the Year 2008 award, and also picked up Product of the Year 2008 for Wispa.
In addition, Sugro also recognised ‘Excellence in Partnership’ by presenting awards to Barry Jackson, senior national account manager with Cadbury, and Tom Dryhurst, customer business manager with PepsiCo.
‘Excellence in Partnership’ awards were also presented to Cornerhouse Design, which produces all Sugro’s promotional material, and to Time Events, which organises Sugro’s conferences and conventions.
