Sterling reports progress over the last year

Sterling Supergroup held its annual conference and reported that it has made progress with the decisions made at last year’s conference.

Last year it was resolved that Sterling Supergoup should re-brand and a range of value catering product should be developed under the Sterling Caterers Essentials label.

Keith McClure, chairman of Sterling, and Vanessa Cooper, chief executive of Sterling, gave their report at the conference and said that progress had been made in the 12-month interim.

The company has a new logo and growing the Sterling Caterers Essential range has been embraced by group members and their customers. A buying team has also been formed and has met on a monthly basis since last November.

Sterling also held a golf tournament, trade exhibition and Gala Dinner, raising pound;2,200 for Wateraid in the process.
