Parfetts brings in customers

The NFRN amp; Parfetts Family Fun Night resulted in triple the number of customers it normally had visiting the Stockport depot on a Tuesday night.

The event was organised by Parfett’s senior buyer Livi Leacock and NFRN national councillor Mike McPhee and helped by mailouts and reminder calls by the NFRN.

Despite the rain, which saw the bouncy castle and face painting moved inside, a large number of old and new customers turned out. The raffle, together with donations from the barbecue and bouncy castle raised £355.60, which was split between the NFRN Ratcliffe Fund and Sweet Charity.

Over 20 trade stands and exhibitors attended, along with trade suppliers who offered taster and sampling sessions.

Steve Parfett, managing director of Parfetts, said: “Despite the weather the day was a resounding success. We had to rearrange a few of the activities and move them indoors as we had a torrential downpour, but amazingly this did not deter our customers and we had a fantastic turnout.

“It was a great opportunity to meet our customers in a more informal and fun environment than the day-to-day pressures of a normal trading day. The offers made it worthwhile and I know a lot of our customers found the advice available from the stands invaluable.”
