IGD launches Wholesale Summit

The Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD) is to run its first-ever Wholesale Summit in September this year.

The two-day event, which will be held at the British Museum in London on September 18 and 19, features keynote presentations from various industry luminaries including Charles Wilson (Booker), Bill Laird (Today’s), Martin Williams (Landmark Wholesale), Younus Sheikh (Bestway) and Palmer amp; Harvey, as well as market and shopper insight sessions from the IGD team.

An IGD spokesperson says: “UK grocery wholesaling has proved highly resilient and adaptable in the face of the challenges of the last few years. As the key channel of supply to a huge range of consumer-facing outlets, from retail to catering and beyond, wholesaling continues to provide key opportunities for suppliers seeking to maximise their reach in the UK market.”
