Almost 40% of FWD members’ sales go through 325,000 foodservice operators including restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, hotels, care homes and office canteens. For supplier companies with a focus on retail, this is a massive area of potential brand expansion. It is showing good growth, with consumers relying more on professionally-prepared meals and eating out of home expected to increase by 18% over the next five years (IGD).
