The World Food Market is returning to London for a third year in November.
It will feature over 250 exhibitors from more than 20 different countries and covers ethnic and world speciality foods from Oriental, Eastern European and Afro-Caribbean to Mediterranean, Middle Eastern cuisines, Halal and Kosher varieties. Buyers for mainstream and ethnic wholesalers were in abundance at last year’s show with representatives from Brakes, 3663, Costco, Booker, KRK, Whitestar, Easyway and Musgrave Wholesale Services. Many wholesalers have also chosen to exhibit at World Food Market, aiming to make contact with the thousands of retailers, foodservice operators and manufacturers at the show.
Cliff Foster, general manager of Memo Cash Carry, said: “In east London, where we are based, there is a large eastern European market including Greeks, Poles, Turks and many more. As a result we are seeing products with a Mediterranean flavour beginning to sell extremely well.”
Jon Irwin, show director, said: “World Food Market is the only dedicated arena that brings together suppliers of ethnic foods from around the world, with buyers and those responsible for sourcing foods and ingredients in the UK.”
