Cadbury’s Will Yates wins FWD Golf Day’s top prize

Despite heavy overnight rain which threatened the event, the Annual FWD Golf Day prior to the annual conference was a resounding success.

Sponsored by Unilever UK and staged at the famous Brabazon golf course at the Belfry, the individual event was won by Will Yates of Cadbury with a score of 41 points.

The ladies prize was claimed by Scottish Wholesale Association executive director Kate Salmon; Steve Reeves of Unilever Ice Cream Frozen Food took the prize for Nearest The Pin and Ian Toft from the same company won the prize for the longrest drive.
In the team event E J Gallo, comprising Ian Thomas, Mark Tinsley, Martyn Hinchcliffe and Gary Bonnington won with a total of 88 points.

Cadbury’s team of Barry Jackson, Phil Hartshorne, Will Yates and Singh Harinderjit were second, and Carlsberg’s team of Murray Simpson and Paul Gilliat, with Makro’s Adam Whally and Richard Vaughan-Hawkins of European Food Brokers were third.
