Landmark’s Lifestyle Value range leaps 250%

Landmark Wholesale has reported continued strong own label sales into the second quarter of its financial year.  

The group says sales were up 8% in August versus the same period in last year bringing year-to-date growth (May 2012 to April 2013) to +8%.

It reported that its Lifestyle Value range in particular was enjoying “massive” growth with sales up 250% compared to the same period last year.

“Our own brand sales continue to perform well and our strategy of own brand development is paying dividends for our members and for retail customers who continue to shop for value and quality,” said Landmark Wholesale business development director Chris Doyle.

The results came as Landmark’s fifth new member – Euro Wholesalers of Stoke-on-Trent – opened for business. Established earlier this year, the company started life as a family-business with years’ of Retail experience; the move into Wholesaling is the next step in the Company’s development.

Euro Wholesalers operates as a licensed and impulse wholesaler servicing independent retailers and the on-trade. It specialises in brands and own brand beers, wines, spirits, soft drink, confectionery, crisps and snacks.  

Euro Wholesalers Principal Buta Kalhon said the business would focus on guaranteed low prices and promotions on branded and own brand products.
